My Enviroment is an Oracle Solaris 11.1 SPARC running Oracle Grid Infrastructure Standalone 11.2.0.4 and one 11.2.0.4 database
On this post i will show you howto upgrade my Oracle Grid Infrastructure Standalone ( Oracle Restart) from 11gR2 ( 11.2.0.4 ) to 12c (12.1.0.2)
Installation:
0. Execute ./runInstaller
1. Step: Select " Upgrade Oracle Grid Infrastructure or Oracle Automatic Storage Management" and click Next
2. Step . Choice Languages and click Next
3. Step . i already registered it but You can register with Enterprise Manage .and click Next
4. you can select the privileged operating system groups and click next.
This is warning message click yes
5. Set the Oracle base and Software location click next
This is warning message click yes
6. The new feature of Oracle 12c is that the installation can automatically execute root privilege operation . Here i want to execute manually then i let it default and click Next
7. Prerequisite Checks.
Just Ignore and Click Next.
8. This is a summary about the upgrade . Just click install
9. Execute rootupgrade.sh
10. Finish.
We can verifiy the GI :
./crsctl stat res -t

Now we can use the new Oracle GI Standalone 12.1.0.2
